About Us

Watching our friend, Rachel Marcus, navigate through a long year of cancer surgeries and treatments with great strength and a positive attitude was painful, yet inspiring. It called for celebration and for action.

After learning about the HBO documentary “Mondays At Racine” which chronicles the initiative of sisters Rachel and Cynthia providing monthly complimentary hair and beauty services at their Long Island, NY salon for people in cancer treatment, a group of friends were inspired to bring that concept to the Hartford area.

We have formed our own organization, Cut Out Cancer, and are grateful to Milano Salon and Day Spa in Bloomfield CT, for opening their salon the second Monday of every month.

Cut Out Cancer, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
