West Hartford Women Starting Salon Program For Cancer Patients
Wednesday, October 23, 2013WEST HARTFORD — In June 2012, local women and close friends Rachel Marcus and Ronit Shoham were about to head to their book club when Marcus shared devastating news – she had found a lump in her breast.
Now, Marcus has completed her last round of chemotherapy and is cancer-free. At a screening of documentary "Mondays at Racine" at the University of Hartford on Tuesday, the two women and other friends who joined them to form non-profit organization "Cut Out Cancer" announced their upcoming program, Mondays at Milano.
